The Dakota Collector
Following you will find some of the best examples of the Dakota Collector of
the past 25 years. The Collector has been published quarterly since the Society
was founded in 1982. As computer programs and technology improved so did the
Dakota Collector. The first 20 years or so was a study of the post offices from which
postmarks were known in all North Dakota Counties. Since then we have started on
the South Dakota Counties and have also had a variety of other articlesm on
North and South Dakota to fill
each issue of the Collector. In 2008 we plan to issue a CD/DVD of all issues
in the first 25 years of the Collector. Keep checking back for details on this. To view the past
issues of the Collector just click on the link. These are PDF files so you must
have Adobe Acrobat to view them. They are larger files so if you are using a
dial up connection they will take a while to load.
Dakota Collector July 2008 - A Study of Brookings County South Dakota by
Gary Anderson and Ken Stach as well as a Contents of the Postcard Article by Joe
Adamski. This is the first issue of the new version of the Dakota Collector. I
think it is a great improvement and hope that you will too. This new format was created
by our club President Ken Stach.
Dakota Collector January 2005 - A
Study of Aurora County South Dakota by Ken Stach and Gary Anderson.
Dakota Collector January 2006 -
Clark's Centenniel Express to the Black Hill's by Ken Stach.
Dakota Collector April 2006 - The

Ellingson.
